You should hear his rants on his utube on Fremont County Wyoming, where his Pa, Norman Barlow was one of the ruling junta's of Wyoming, and a former President of the Wyo Senate in the late 50's and 60's. So, your love affair from cyberspace is based on the tinsel image he created in the vapors of cyberspace, and not one of really knowing the whole 9 yards, or much of his real person.
Well, did JPM go to Nam, and get a draft ticket, he was of that era.

He brags about the outlaw culture in Fremont County, and the credentials he had with the GOP, and his kinship to get Cheney elected in Wyoming as the Chairman of the GOP in Fremont County. What you demonstrate you are in love with his fake persona he created over cyberspace, as some psycho projection you have in some Legend, which is part of your silicon fantasy world. Real people were killed in Fremont County, one by an ex District Attorney , by the name of William Simpson, The Simpsons are the other big political family in Wyoming,, with its Al Simpson heavy handed ways, Al Simpson is the big buddy of Cheney, he was as you know the Wx Whip in the U S Senate. Maybe if you learned more about what really went on in Fremount County that may dispel your love affairs in cyber space. Lots of women develop love affairs with some cyber creep, only to find out in real live the guy is demonic like. The cyber machines have a lot of downsides when it comes to reality. John Perry Barlow seems to play off of Cheney to seek to get some fame. Take for instance his bragging that he was against the MX Missile, and he lobbyed against it, and he and Cheney were the two most knowledgable people on it.
That is a riot. Neither one knew much about it, and its waste of billions.
15 years after the MX missile was based in Wyoming, it was removed, and was no longer operationable. A very short life... a big dupe job.
It was a giant waste of money.
Also, some have pointed out its guidance system was defective, and there are even stories in the New York Times on how some MX test had to be aborted, and the missile blown up because it was one without a reliable guidance system.
Many fraud suits were brought against the DOD contractors who milked the system on the MX--milked it out of billions.
It is really ironic, Barlow a LSD tripping rock band guru, ties on to Cheney's fame card to present this spectale they were big rocket MX experts. The audacity of hype from those who wack-jobs.
What they were was two big draft evaders during Nam. Now, Cheney is proving he is truly a mad man.
Barlow even says that Cheney is a very incurious man.
That is at odds with his blather that Cheney knew a lot about the MX.
Some have written that the trouble with Cheney is he is just plain stupid.(he flunked out of College, before he hooked into the GOP in Wyo for some political tickets) He hooked into Rummy(Rumsfeld), who McCain has called the worst Sec of Defesne in USA history.
But, he is mad with power,(Cheney is blinded by his mad power) and apparently Barlow thought he would ride that Cheney train at the dawn of Cheney's career in politics.
The Nation(America) is much worst off, and poorer, because Cheney got into politics and worked his voodo.
But, Barlow is out-spoken, and dips in the occult, and he was playing with the demonic, when he got Cheney elected.
No wonder Barlow wrote for the DEADHEADS in the Bay area, a rock band consumed by drugs that burnt out at a quick speed.
The biggest Deadhead is Ann Coulter, the nit-wit, who has never had a real case in federal court, but calls herself a lawyer.
She too is in luv with Dick Cheney, and the cult, all part of the fabric of this odd array of wack-jobs.
Cheney has the nerve to call himself conservative, he really played people in Wyoming for suckers, and he got John Perry Barlow to help him.(Mr slick, from the big ranch with the powerful Pa, who was Mr GOP power in Wyoming)
Now, we see America must address the problems left by the Cheney debacles, and it wll be an issue for many years to come.
Can Barlow be deprogammed after the Cheney trips, he is a endearing, and charming fellow, but he seems to have been on some bad acid trips with Cheney.
I dont know who you people are, or how on earth you feel so self righeous attacking a person you have obviously never met.
I was lucky enough to meet John a few years back, and we quickly became fast and intimate friends.
He is one of the most sincere, generous, playful, kind, funloving, deeply sad, intelligent men I have ever known. He does not tie himself to Anne Coulter, and if you knew better, he is often put off by the love and adoration of all the dead heads. Those guys grew up together, and loved each other like brothers. And if you don't think that you dip into the occult in your day to day life in America, do some reasearch on where each and every single "Christian" holiday comes from. Check out your own pagan roots.
